my buddy baught my supercharger i had for sale a while back and we just got it on and its cutting out at about 5000 rpm? granted its not tuned yet but it didnt do it on my car? any ideas of what it might be?:confused:

Could be plug gap is too big, but the tune is probably way off. You really should get it tuned before trying to run it up to 5K.

yea your right but it is his first bit of boost and he had a hard time resisting! but thanks well try that

make sure its got good gas in it if he wants it to live long enough to see the dyno.

What kind of ignition is on it it? I would check the plug gaps first, then go to the ignition.

I have a msd 6 btm for sale, that will let you pull timing per pound of boost.

I would put plug gap at .035, make sure he has a good fuel pump, 255lph.

its running fat is the only reason i didnt think it would be a fuel issue (fuel cut)
