I was previously launching at 5500rpm, clutch drop on a 3650 tranny with a 3.38 first gear coupled with a 4.10 rear gear. Yielded 1.6xxx 60 foots.

Haven't been to the track since my upgrade to a TKO600 w/ 2.87 first gear, 4.10 rear gear remains. What should I up my launch RPM to?

You'll just have to test. Too many other variables. I would also suggest that you move to a 4.30 gear. With a G-force t-5 (2.92 first gear) and 4.30's I launched at 6500 in my 97 GT. Best 60 ft, 1.553.

Like Ian said...your just gonna have to test to find what works best..to many variables. I assume your running slicks?

Yeah, he's running slicks. Cold weather is driving everyone bonkers. Adam just get out to track and start testing, ok?

I will say your on the right track. Most likely gonna have to raise the launch rpm. Hope you have some aftermarket axles.

Hold it on the carpet and just let your foot slide off the side of the clutch pedal!!!!!!!!

Yeah he's got 31 spline axles I think he'll have to raise the launch rpm's considerably though as his 1st gear ratio is a 2.87 vs the 3.38 he just came off of.

Peace :cool2:

try what you were doing with the 5500 then up your launch rpm 200 at a time. If you have problems with it bogging up the tire pressure a couple PSI at a time cold.

We'll see what happens. I'll be at TS tomorrow with Qtr and 05yellowGT. I'll probably just take a baseline run at old settings and take it from there.
