I have a 351 W trick flow r intake that is for fuel injection motors. The question that i have is, i am going to run an accufab 80 mm race t.b. and i was thinking about having the upper intake bored out to a 90mm so that way if i ever decided to upgade to a 90 mm t.b. i wouldnt have to go through all the trouble of pulling it off the motor again. When i got to looking at the upper intake though, i noticed that there is a little opening that is below the tb hole opening. The little opring goes down into the intake and ends in the middle of the the upper on the bottom of the intake? I was wondering that if i ended up boring into that little opening, is it a coolant port? or it would probally disrupt flow? I am just curious wha this little port is for and what it does? Ill probally just leave it alone and have a homemade spacer tappered from a 80 down to the hole of the upper? Just thoughts and suggestions needed. thanks for the effort. ryan

I think that is for an EGR if you still used one. I just blocked it off on my tfs-r intake. If you bored it out enough to go into it...just block it off with some epoxy.

thats what i was thinking, just dont want to take to much out and disrupt flow there is only about 2mm before you have to go into that port and i need 5 mm total to make it an 80 i believe but i dont wanna mess it up. if it is just air flow ill drill into the sucker but if its coolant i sont wanna mess w it
i really wanna bore it out though for all the possible power hey everything helps
