Flowmaster Tail pipes 87-93 LX

I have a new set of flowmaster tailpipes for 87-93 LX They are the steel pipes i painted the tips black with ceramic paint, Installed them drove the car maybe 30 miles and pulled them back off. Went back to dumps.

Are they stainless? Why did you paint them, are they rusty underneath? Do they go all the way to the mufflers and are they a bolt-flange style or slip on?

These are the Steel Flowmaster Tailpipes not the Stainless type, I painted them cause they are the bare steel. No rust i ceramic coated them black.
