I know the Smyth off Montgomery road sells them in the store.

Sears, Napa, most auto parts stores may not have them in stock, but should be able to order them. Ebay, craigslist may also be good places to check.

I got mine at a small tool shop in Amelia that was next to clermont
equiptment. It is a blue "Goodyear" folding type. The front wheels are notched
so the legs sit lower and fit under the car better. I would check sams they also sold them along with a nice folding engine stand.

I got one of the Goodyear ones from Sams Club. It folds up as well. It pulled my big block and c4 tranny together and put it back in with no problems.

My personal one came from Sams Club. I bought it back in '94 or '95.

That thing has lifted more engines than you could ever imagine. It has been loaned out over a hundred times, and it still works great.

I believe the one at Modular Depot came from Harbor Freight. It is actually a pretty nice unit. ;)

We got our 2 Ton lift, with 8 Ton bottle jack mounted on it, from Sams Club back around 1990 or so. It's still going and has pulled lots of motors and even hoisted a car to put onto a trailer a week ago. :bigthumb

yeah I plan on getting a folding one. I'm tired of borrowing my step dads for all these jobs.

Whatever you do, don't buy one from AutoZone !!! Mine's real tippy and out of whack, even after trying to adjust it about a hundred times.....
