I went out this morning and the stang wouldn't start. It would turn over o.k. Then i noticed I didn't hear the fuel pump running. This happened to me once last year but after turning the key off and on a few times it finally kicked in. Is this located in the gas tank? If so and it needs replacing, what kind should I get? Any help would be appreciated.

walpro, Theres a return line that send fule that you do not use. So lets say later on you do a supercharger setup or a good head cam intake swap then you will have enough fuel and wont have to change it.. Just onbolt the neck to the fill up and the tank straps and bring it on down.. easy swap..

Now I am stumped. The problem with the fuel pump is only in the mornings. When i get home from work it starts just fine. What would cause that?

It's probably the pump, When my factory pump went out, it would work sometimes, not work sometimes. You may want to check summit brand pumps, they are a little cheaper. A 190 or 255 will be fine, I think a 190 is rated to around 400hp. I put a summit 190 in my old white car, worked great, walbro's are great quality also.
