I picked a motor up yestarday that was already put together. I pulled the intake off last night because it is set up for carburated and I am staying with fuel injection. I was looking at the tabs sticking out for the head gaskets and they appear to be the stock replacement ones 9333PT1 or PT2 from the looks of the tabs on them. The heads on this motor are GT40Y302 aluminum. Are those head gaskets alright to use with aluminum heads? The intake gaskets that were on there were differen't than 1250's and they weren't stock ones either. I plan to use 1250's on them I just want to make sure that is alright. Ford racing's website says you must useM-9439-A50 intake gasket. How true is that? The website also says you must use AGSF-32C spark plugs. Any help on the gaskets and plugs would be appreciated. I am a newbie at this whole aluminum head deal. This is the first set I have ever owned.

1250 intake gaskets should be fine for anything, Just cut the water ports to fit. I am running the 9333 pt1 on mine with AFR heads so I think they should be fine with aluminum. I know others run them with aluminum heads too.

I have Y303's on my 68.....using 1250's and stock felpro head gaskets......works fine. Running Autolite 7924's I belive for plugs. Make sure you have the head bushings if instaling them on a 302! Nice upgrade if you got them at a decent price!
