There is plenty left, it's just a matter of finding it. I saw a good show on the History channel about it awhile ago about how it was formed, where it's currently known to be, and the many locations probable to have more. It also explained why and how global warming works heh, scientifically, not politically.

But 2020 isn't going to help us now lol.

There is a lot more oil out there. However, its more difficult and expensive to recover. Throw in the fact that OPEC has the world by the short and curlies and we are all screwed. They could flood the market with oil making it far less expensive to discourage knew exploration and development only to cut production later on to squeeze more money out of us. It's a viscous cycle.

The United States uses 6.6 billion barrels of oil annually. The United States has over 21 billion barrels of oil in reserves as well as around 10 billion barrels in Alaska and 4 Billion in Montana and North Dakota. Thats 35 Billion barrels of oil. Plus whats of shore in the Gulf of Mexico and the pacific! Thats at least 6 years of oil independence!!! Imagine what the prices would be if we'd just use some of that to cut down on purchasing from OPEC?!!! Fu##ing Enviromentalists!

whats bad is that the united states usually has problems with people that lasts longer than 6 years. I say if brazil has enough lets just quite using iran bullshit watered down oil. That by it's self will drive the prices down.

The world is going to end up like Mad Max/Road Warrior anyway....

it already is....people drive around in gas guzzlers while simulataneously bitching about gas prices. That's akin to killing gas theives with sawn off double barrel shotguns while at the same time driving a weiand blown falconstein pursuit special.

I don't expect gas to go down in price simply because it's closer to domestic soil. I feel like the "gas scare" is a tactic used to make us think we are running out to justify the 3.75 price tag per gallon.

Sad thing is our alternate fuel E85 has caused problems with grain shortages across the globe already. And oil isn't any better. The only thing that would help would be electric cars or solar powered.

I would like to see Iraq(not a member of opec) get their oil production in gear so the price will come down. Supply/demand.
