This is a long shot, but I need these gone. 8 railroad ties, not in any shape for landscaping, etc... Figure someone might want them for a bonfire. Not sure how safe that is though.

Not very safe!!!!! They give off some toxic fumes!

Yeah, thats what I thought.
Guess I'll get one of those junk removal places to come haul them off.

you could always try and cut them smaller and try and put them in the trash from time to time!!! Or find you a nice empty dumpster somewhere!!!:cool1:

They're treated with creosote, which can be some pretty nasty stuff if you burn it. Although, its a little scary to think that they treat wood with it and used to use it in medicine. Check this out.
