No matter what you can't have nice things without kids tearing it up!! Yard, flowers, CARS! Can't even begin to count how many times my dailey driver has been hit by a ball, or a bat. The today i'm sitting in my mustang about to start up and leave when a 6 year old rides his bike beside the car. His bike is missing the rubber hand grips and that sharp edge put a damn scratch through the clear and into the paint. My stang is 20 years old, has 68k original miles and now has this glorious flaw. F U C K !@#*%!#

End rant :(

Find out who the kids parents are and ask that they pay to fix it. If they tell you to piss off, open the door on the litle shit next time.

Take to Judge Judy, she loves cases like this. She gets those kids up on the stand and they are scared shitless to lie to her, so they end up telling on the parents, and the parents having to pay, despite saying "it wasn't my kid."

I had a kid scratch both sides of my truck. Mine was when it was parked on the street. At first I thought it was someone keying it, then it happened again.

After that, I set up a video camera and caught the kid scratching another car. I gave the tape to the cops, and my insurance company.

Where I am going with this is go after the parents. Their home owners insurance will pay for it, at least thats what came about with my issue.

Exactly. Track down the parents and hold them responsible. Seriously, I don't know how I ever plan on having kids - I can't stand the little buggers!

I have owned and restored some pretty nice old cars.My kids know to stay away from them with bikes. So what I'm saying is the ones you are dealing with are not stupid F'N kids but they have stipid F'N parents. The only way to punish the parents is to get in their back pocket!!!!!!

If you have kids and buy a new mini van, just get it over with right away. Take the garden rake and start at the headlight and run it down the sides a few times. After a year or so, it would look like that anyway.

I grew up around car guys...and i grew up riding a bike a lot. It was an unwritten law, you just don't ride your bike around peoples cars. If i had done that i would've expected an ass whoopin, being a minor or not. I guess times have changed.

You live in a really nice subdivision but, that is why I can't live in one. To close to the next house and to many kids. Don't get me wrong, I love kids but the little boogers don't watch what they are doing . Sometimes Things get damaged. That sucks to hear Bob. I agree. Find his parents.

Damn Bob, sorry hear about the car, and that is a nice car!!!! And remember you are really in Burlington not Florence..... Let me know if you need a little help with the kids parents if you find him. I might be able to get a sheriff over there and see what they can do. Did the kid even stop and say anything or what?

Thanks for the fun sugestions everyone :) Early this week I decided to wash my dd. What do you now, that sucker is scuffed and scratched all to hell. It's gonna be a fun time explaining this to parents who don't seem to have a clue. I've repeatadly asked and requested for the children to not play in my driveway.

Approach the parents in a rational manner and request that they pay for their child's damages. If they refuse then maybe next time you see the child on or near your property he should accidentally "lose" his bike. Find a dumpster, or sell it on ebay or craig's list to cover some of the cost of fixing your car. That's probably how I'd deal with it if it was the first time. Since you have previously requested that they not let their children play in your driveway then they are aware of the problem and it's their neglegance that caused it. That's pretty clear, sue them.

Good luck. Any pics of the damage?
