I recently just put a pi motor in my 96 gt and have a few problems. The first one is my throttle response just dont seem right. It has a bbk throttle body on it and it just dont want to rev quick. The second problem is at about 3000 rpm it feels like the power kind of flat lines. The car has mac lt's, h pipe, flomaster, 410 gears, cai, and bbk throttle body. I dont know if a sensor is bad and not throwing a code. I dont know what to look for to diagnose these problems. Do you think i need a tune and if i do which would be better a handheld programer or dyno tune.

get a tune and get a hand held. then you can read the codes as they appear and tune your car back to stock whenever. Did you use your stock computer and harness or switch to a COP set up? Did you do all these upgrades at one time?

I used my stock computer and harness and did all the upgrades at once.

good chance you need a nice tune to make everything flow well together. your fuel maps might be off causing the poor performance after 3K or so. There are quite a bit of tuners in the tri-state area that can help.

Can you just plug in a newer pi computer?

the PI computers are made for the coil on plug so the harness might not pin out the same.

I would take advantage of the of the special rscoupe @ Dayton Performance is running and get it tuned. I wouldn't be surprised if it was pig rich. I know my car was after we did the PI swap on it. It drove like shit on the way to the dyno but now if drives like a stocker.
