bbk underdrive alt pulley

ive heard from someone not to use this pulley,but to just use the other 2 in the kit because it will not charge my battery as well?? is this so guys??? should i be using it??? thanks

I've heard this also from more than one person. I did not use the alternator pulley on the '88, but that was only because I could not get the old one off.

I would change your alternator pulley only if you have installed gears. Otherwise driving in town at low speeds and at night at lower RPM with the air on may not charge your vehicle well enough.

it has a 373 gear but it doesnt have air any more.it has a short belt on it.
