Well I've had this thing for about 2 1/2+ years now and supposed to be coming back from the body shop next weekend.

I drove this 56K mile V-6 car into my garage and tore it down to pretty much a rolling chasis

It will be getting a two-tone paint with black on the bottom and dark shadow grey on top with a red pin to seperate

The numbers, for the '86 (don't know about '84) were about 1,800. I think the majority were 4 or 6 cylinder cars. It's rumored that only 100, were 5.0's

K.J. Jones (MM&FF) did a nice '86.

nice coupe man. i bought my 86 t-top coupe about 4 years ago and its still just sitting lol. I bought a ton of parts for her but just need time to work on it. I stripped it down to nothing, no wiring nothing. I have a 96 GT interior for it and 5 lug suspension. now i just need a motor.

just so ya know there is no possible way to find any numbers on t-top cars. I have been trying for 4 years with no luck. Mine was one of 4 documented 86 t-top coupes on the once up and running t-top registry. From the registry it seemed that from 79 to 84 there were many more t-top coupes then 85 on. And only two of the 86's registered were 5.0's.

It has taken alot of hard work and my wife putting up with it... you know how hard it is to spend money on a car that is in pieces and justify it to a wife?? lol she hung in there with me and now she wants me to build her a early model mustang for her to take to the shows and etc... I have a line on a 70 mach 1
