I had posted up last year about the basic remodel we completed on our basement here (http://www.stangbangerz.com/forums/showthread.php?t=35103). Well at the end of the year last year, our basement plumbing backed up thanks to the sewer department accidentally lining over our tap at the street. As a good chunk of the basement had to be repaired we decided to go ahead and gut most of it and do a pretty extensive remodel. Here is the progress so far!

Looks nice!

Both. I have a good buddy that is a contractor and I am working with him whenever I I can. :bigthumb

It was! That's what took so long. Honestly we would have been done a month or two ago if it wasn't for the city dragging their feet. It took 1 month for them to figure out who we need to send the claim to(the city, or the their contractor) and then we were told a minimum of 60 days before we would see a check and then and once we got to the end of the 90 days they denied our claim! This dumb ignorant stupid piece of work at the city, Shirley Lenzley, basically didn't even try to do her job and denied it but ONLY after waiting the maximum amount of time she could to get a response back. Well I was pissed. I then contacted MSD directly(because your claim gets filed directly with the city solicitor) and they were extremely helpful and basically said they would do everything they could to make it right. We ended up with a really sweet lady that handled our claims and had a check out to us within a week or two. The whole process ended up being about 5 months to get a check though! The joys of government! lol

Got it figured out. Loose HDMI cable it looks like. I have watched a couple movies on it since then with zero issues. :bigthumb I don't know about somebody spilling on the carpet but it looks like a chunk of the drywall got knocked out of the wall by the bar stool to the right of the bar. Nothing a a little Spackle and touch up paint won't fix.

Hey now, we enjoy an ice cold one now and then - we're not alcholics! I know about the bulbs - that's why we kept our 65" Toshiba HDTV behind the projector screen. ;) Chances are the projector may only get used once a week or so plus the bulb that came with it is good for 2000 hours at full power so at 4-5 hours a week, it should be good for awhile. :bigthumb

It is absolutely rediculous. Rachel won't even watch me play on it because it makes her dizzy.

AJ, do you have your projector hooked to a battery back up?
Most of those projectors have a bulb cooling fan in them, that runs after the unit is powered down. In the event of a power failure while using it, the bulb can overheat w/o the fan, and cause the bulb to die.

btw...
Basement project turned out sweet man!

No, I sure don't but honestly since I have been at my house (4yrs) I can can't on both hands the amount of times the power has gone out. I think I "should" be ok. :bigthumb
