You need a Burning Suite.

Try a Ashampoo trial.

I'm not sure about vista, I have xp on the laptop and at home, but I use DVDFab Decrypter to decrypt the dvd then use Nero recode to write it to dvd. It can sometimes be a little bit of a lengthy process but is cheap and for me has worked on any dvd player and computer I have put it on. I have a word document on how to do this I can send it to you if you like... :bigthumb

Are you using DVD-R discs or DVD+R discs?

When you say the dvds won't work at home, do you mean in a stand alone DVD player? Most of them (especially if it's older) will only play -R...they won't play +R . The problem may be in the media your using. Your computer DVD drive should play all of them. Try use -R media and it should recognize it and burn it as -R...if not look for an option to burn it as -R.
