Arby's cashiers..

I went to Arby's for dinner for the family the other day and happened to look at the drive through. I couldn't believe what I saw. The screen that the kid was using to collect the money and give change didn't have numbers on it. Get this. It had pics of money. WTF!!!?? Pics of a 1 dollar bill, a 5 dollar bill and a 10 dollar bill. So this leads me to believe that the youth of America don't even know how to figure out how much money is worth?? I think I learned how to count money by my 4th or 5th birthday. What is up with kids today?????

I worked fast food when I was a youngin. Drive thru cashier usuallly. I took the order, took the money and gave change, fixed the drinks, bagged up the order and sent them on their way all while doing the next order that came in. Now a days they have one person in charge of filling drink orders..one to bag it etc. And it's sure as hell not faster!!
The pics of money though..I had not seen that...that's just awful. Yep folks..this is the generation who will be taking care of you! Our future. Gawd help us!

You soon be finding fast food places going to the machines they use at the grocery store self checkouts.

Drive thru person inserts your $20, it counts back the change, they hand it too you.

The good....

1) less chance of error
2) quicker
3) less chance of employee skimming the drawer
4) theft via robbery, not possible if a time lock is used.

the bad

1) what if it runs out of change, or another drawer goes low on singles for example?
2) further aids in the "dumbing of america"

When I started working minimum wage was $2.75, And we were required to be able to make change and count!!!! You shouldn't be able to get out of the 8th grade if you can't or don't know how to count money and make change!!

Dont tell me your one of those guys who thinks its just fine and dandy to work to the level of your pay? If I had a nickel for every worker who claimed they would have better work habits and work harder if they were paid more I could have retired a long time ago. It never happens, slackers are always slackers and hard workers get paid for their efforts. If the hard worker doesnt get rewarded by all means find another job.
