Hi all, I just traded a ZEX kit for a set of 79 Cobra 4cyl turbos that are in great shape. I cant seem to find out how big they are, and any specs on them. Can anybody help me out? I'm trying to figure which blow off's I need, and figure out the rest of the set up. Any help or info is greatly appreciated...Thanks in advance...

They should be Garrett T3's.

I thought so too, but they dont have the t3 flanges. They actually have the ball socket flange on them. I'm trying to figure out the mm size for them, so I can figure out how big of a bov I need. I'm popping my cherry on the boost thing right now lol...

they have a ball flange on both ends?

Yep, I never say one like it before, but that's what it's got. I did run the ford part numbers on both of them, and they came back to 79 Cobra turbos. So if anybody knows the specs on them, I'm dying to find out. It's deffinitely gonna look weird without the t-3flanges, but I dont care as long as they spool.

turboford.net is where I would start. I have nothing else to help.

The early turbos were draw through thats why they have the ball flange on them .

Exactly. Remember, back then they were carbed and ran less boost than they did in the SVO days. I would assume they're not as good as the later T3's but that's just a guess.
