Everyone has had this happen to them, I'm sure of it...

guy a lists something for sale
guy B expresses desire for it
guy a and guy b negotiate a price and a pick up/meeting place.

guy a sits around all day waiting for a call that never comes
guy a sends a few PM's to guy b, with no response... even though guy B has logged onto the message board and made a post or 2.

It's really frusturating.

Then guy B kills guys A & C, keeping both cash and the item he wanted! The end.:D I should write fairytales!!!

Try this on for size - Guy A gets quote for resdential roof tear off and replacement from Guy B. Guy A signs contract and fronts $750.00 deposit to Guy B. Guy A and Guy B agree to date for work to be done. Guy A confirms with Guy B again 2 weeks before agreed date. Guy B assures no conflicts. (yes Guy B does this for a living). Guy B calls and leaves last minute message three days before work is to begin to guy A that Guy B and family are taking last minute extended three day weekend vacation and will not start work now until a day later. Guy A has taken vacation time (field service engineer) to be home during time. Guy B NEVER shows at all. Guy A finds new contractor and now ends up paying 700.00 more to get same job done. Guy B never showed, but amzingly sent back deposit. Guy B sees Guy A following week and expects guy A to understand. YEAH RIGHT!!!!!!!!!
