I got a 347 and the oil pump is a melling m-68, it is hitting the crank, anybody have any problems, is there another pump or something i can use?

Are you sure its maybe not the wrong pump in the right box?

Yeah im going to check out another at the parts store tommorow, looks like its right but i have had that happen to before.

How bad does it hit? I've had to grind on the pump before for clearance.

I got it taken care of, i let allittle anger get the best of me and overlooked that it was actually hitting the main girdle stud. I actually read the install procedure and it said you may have to shorten the stud. Thanks for the help though everybody.:)
