Yeah I would guess you are loosing a bunch to lack of traction.

i don't have it with me. i am at work now. i know that my 60s sucked all night. 2.2s for all of my runs except one of them which was only a 2.1(it may have been that run actually).

Launch that sucker and get yourself deep in the 12's.

Traction is your friend. Put some Slicks on her and leave off of the rev limiter and you won't be dissappointed:rockon:

launching at higher rpm would be better?
side note: on the road when i launch at 2700 on my DRs the car about dies, but on the track it spun...shouldn't i hook more on the track?

You only want to launch at a higher RPM if you have traction. If you don't have traction, launching higher isn't going to do you any favors.
If they spun harder on the track than on the street you're not getting them hot enough. Trying to hook cold drag radials on all that rubber at the starting line doesn't work. You need to get those drag radials nice and hot before launching. Mickeys, BFGs, and Nittos all love to be hot. Get the tires hot and sticky, rev it to the moon, and drop the clutch!

good to know. i'll get them hotter next time i am out at the track.

Excess wheel spin will cause MPH to be higher than if it hooked...If your running D.R's ....yes very hot....and mined like 11.0 psi in them...Busted the rear all to heck on radials..if you've got slicks ,...use em and try to launch higher...weight transfer is the key...You do have a good solid 12 sec car ...maybe a mid 12's .....in good air> def do....:bigthumb

I forgot about pressure to. What kind of drag radials are you running and what pressures? The Mickeys will work best at 18 PSI.

i've got mickeys at about 25psi at the track. i'll drop it more next time.

Drop them straight to 18 PSI. That's where the tech reps at Mickey tell me they work best...and it sure as hell worked for me. Remember to do a good burnout, those tires LOVE to be hot.

Does Tristate have Thursday T+T? I checked their site yesterday because i thought about going but it didn't say anything about it.

Should the 18 psi tire pressure be checked and set immediatley after a pass while the tires are still hot ?

I always try to set pressure while the tires are hot. If you set them while they're cold, they'll raise 1.5-2 PSI after doing your burnout because of the temperature rise. Drop them to 18 PSI before your first pass, then correct it right after the first pass.

Kilkre thursday, Edgewater friday, and TriState on Saturday. Edgewater use to do Wednesdays and Tri State use to do thursday too. Judging by the car counts I have seen at Kilkare the last few times I doubt it would be worth their while to open an extra night. Kilkare does have permanent number night for all class racers on the 1st Wednesday of the month.

Between the weather, and their continued inability to keep the staging lanes moving.. I'd agree. Outside of the weather, KK should run test n' tune 5 nights a week so that people can actually get 3 or 4 passes in before weekend races. Not to mention, their .5 tree turns into 5 or 6 seconds sometimes.
