Small block Turbo setup. I was thinking of a mild Explorer motor or stock motor with a small turbo. What would be a good size turbo for a Driver. I would probably run a small air to air intercooler and it would be EFI on pump gas. I am looking to do this on the cheap I would probably buy the bends, Flip some headers and make my own kit. I am still dreaming of the Vomets setup but I think it would be cool fun driver with around 400hp at the wheels with a stick.

The 70 mm powermaster is pretty popular and not real expensive. Talk to Plated. He messed with them alot.

Stock motor I would run a masterpower with a .69 Exhaust housing if you going to run an explorer motor with a cam I would run an .81 housing. These are by far the best bang for the buck turbo. Nothing even comes close to quality and performance for the money. Also Tim when you get started I will let you know where to get the best prices on everything since I have built a few myself.

Also, if 60 pounders and support are in your budget you should consider it for running E85.

I would like to run regular old 93 octane. So far its between throw a stock explorer motor in the car, Explorer motor or mostly stock 5.0 with a turbo, Built the 351 block that is sitting in the garage, 32valve cobra motor, Could be anything. I would like a shot at a street turbo setup.

Why 93?

The reason I am going with E85 is that it is 105 octane when used at a proportionate quantity and it is cheaper. It makes more sense to me.
But hey, its all good.

The e85 makes alot of sense except there are not alot of E-85 pumps around me. I have pleanty of time to consider E-85 because the Car is a rusty mess with no motor or trans in it right now. I could be putting this engine in the car in a couple years. E-85 might be everywhere by then if it is I am sure I will take advantage of it.

You get a lot worse has mileage off of E85. 89notch's little brother doesn't even get 100 miles to a full tank. That's just something to think about to.

If it is a daily, then 93 is the way to go.
