As long as the forecast for Friday stays under 80* and the chance of rain is slim, I'll try my luck at slickwater... I haven't been there since March 29th..:D I'll have that ice wrap if you're interested...

Good luck on getting your number! I will be at TS Saturday, unless I break down and get my physical to get my license. The NHRA physical sheet says something about an anal exam....:eek1:

they run a sportsman tree, but you can request a protree run

i think i might head down as well, if the track holds, maybe an 11 is in there

We'll most likely have 1 staging lane for the UMTR pro tree guys. Listen for the announcement, they'll call us into the lanes. If they don't call us, ask the guy working the lanes if they'll assign a lane for the pro tree guys.

They haven't been setting up the cones lately. They've been running us right before or after the slick cars, so the track is prepped too.

ok whats the deal with the cones?

nskaats
08-08-2008, 03:25 PM
The cones are put up for cars on street tires. They like to keep the cars on street tires out of the groove so they don't tear up the good track surface. If you're on sticky tires and cones aren't moved when you pull out of the burnout box, remind the guy to move them.

I haven't had a problem with them moving the cones. I run with the sticky tire cars and UMTR pro tree group and they've been moved for me every time.

Should have had an easy 9.xx tonight but found out with the extra power now my converter is way to loose...the shift light was on as soon as I left so I was shifting off the limiter and hit it a little past the 1000' mark and still managed a 10.17@ 135.6 with a 1.39 60':bangwall::bangwall::bangwall::bangwall::bangwa ll::bangwall::bangwall:

I didn't do too bad last night. My lights weren't where I wanted them but I'll get that fixed today in my time runs. Best I managed was a 12.95 @ 108.59 on a 2.05 60'. Best MPH was a 108.97 I think.
