I have not had goetta since February 21, when you, me, and Kevin went to breakfast, and I had strep! It was the day after the Pinks premiere, I remember it well.

They need to start selling goetta in Kansas. What up with that anyway?

Kroger

Glier's Goetta is my favorite.

That's what I was going to say. I figured it'd be the best since it's 'gliers goettafes't and when I went to kroger the day we went, there were thousands of rolls of it!

I didn't realize there were that many varieties... What's the best kind? I might have to give it another try.

They have different "flavors". I like the original Glier's Goetta, sliced thin, a little crispy. Yummmmmmm

Homemade goetta in the Crockpot is the best. Reminds me I need to make more. Easy to make too.

If you want it home-made, go to Krogers and buy a bag of Pinhead Oatmeal. The recipe is right on the back.

Simple ingredients: onion, bay leaves, sausage, ground beef, salt, pepper, water, and 3 hours of cooking an VIOLA!!

The recipe makes a shit-ton. But you can cut it in half, or freeze what you don't use.

Variations come from the type of sausage you put in it. Sage, original, spicy etc.

I make at least one batch every winter.

Thats why, geotta is a very local product that has roots in the greater Cincy area only.
