Im sorry but this may actually be the lowest I have felt about the Bengals. Its getting harder and harder to watch. That was the most pathetic excuse for an offense I have ever seen. They should make the special teams coach the head coach right now because that was the only group worthy of putting on the field. That team simply was not ready to play and thats the coaching staffs fault, Marvin must go. Didnt think I would be saying this but he has to go. This is one life long Bengals fan hanging his head in disgust.

First off, putting the blame on Lewis is probably the dumbest thing you could say. The fact is Carson had one of his worst career games. I guess that's Marvins fault? Secondly, it doesn't matter what team you are, when you travel to Baltimore to face Ray Lewis and there defense, shit is never easy. You put that on a season opener after a shaky preseason, you have a recipe for disaster.

So please do not dis marvin Lewis, and if you guys are really that disgusted, I'm sure Captain dipshit Katmandu wouldn't mind you guys rooting for his team of choice. Lol, and I wouldn't say today was a big win for the Steelers, I mean the Oilers in Pittsburgh? :flipoff:

Uhhh who the hell are you? If you think the Bengals as a team were well prepared for that game you dont know jack about football. Yes Carson looked bad but the entire offense was pathetic, broken plays, missed assignments. That was an overall failure by the offense...thats the coaches fault. If your happy as a Bengals fan with them running the same sub par team out there then Mike Brown should be happy with an entire stadium full of fans like you. Being a true fan also means expressing your disappointment when its obvious there are some serious issues with the team. Your not disgusted with that effort? They were the laughing stock of the league today and as a true fan I will express my concerns as should others that was an unacceptable performance period. Why are the 4th an less than one plays always a bust, why does a rookie QB have all time to sit i the pocket to throw, why does every blitz seem to start a half step too slow, why does the defense seem to still be figuring out their assignments as the ball is being snapped, why was carson continually on his ass or running for his life, why are the receivers catching the ball anymore and falling into a heap at the sight of the defender? You simply blaming Carson Palmer is the dumb statement, the offense should have stayed in the locker room.

Good job guys, blow shot out of proportion. maybe the question is, who the hell are you? Am I putting all the blame on Carson? Absolutely not. His performance was just upsetting. Am I disappointed with the performance? Hell Yes I am! They played like shit. I am not getting on here stating they should fire the best coach they have had in years. What happened yesterday was not one persons fault, it was the teams. here, I have a better idea. How about we just fire the entire Bengals squad?

You must not understand the dynamics of the situation. Individual perfoermances can be attributed to the player in question. A total breakdown of an entire squad can and should be attributed to the people in charge or training them. That would be the coaches. This is the first time I have ever asked for Marvin to step down but it is time. He has no fire on the sidelines and his team was completely unprepared. This is not a single game thing, this goes back to the lousy execution we have seen the previous three years.

You also have to look at the entire picture. Marvin is being restricted by the fabulous Mr. Brown and a coach cannot operate like that. I think the Bengal as a whole need to get there shit together. I blame the team for yesterday's performance. Players and coaches.

It's what's happen when you have a bunch of pandered to celebrities playing. Maybe if you make the players work for their money, it would be a different story. I never understood blinding standing behind a team that has know fight themselves. I guess that's why college sports in general are always so much more entertaining. I'm a little jaded though, because I can't stand football. Rugby FTW!

Something is not right when your cornerback Johnathan Joseph has 65 yards and TJ and OCHO-CHINCO combine for 66 yards..
The passing game was piss poor and the running game was worse. Chris Perry umm I don't think so..
They looked like a division 2 college offense. They were not prepared at all and that would be the fault of the coaching staff. You can blame Mike Brown all you want about restricting Marvin Lewis what ever that means, but Mike Brown doesn't call the plays during the game. That would be your coordinators, they relay options to Marvin Lewis and he calls the plays.

O line sucks. D line sucks. Same as the last 20 years. Offense can't run the ball, defense can't stop the run or put pressure on the QB without blitzing.

We canceled our season tickets years ago, as there is no reason to support Mike Brown. No matter how many tickets he sells, Mike Brown will not pay the high salaries that good coaches demand or get more scouts so the draft picks aren't constantly a bust year after year.

The organization as a whole is just bad. They either do not know how to properly run an NFL team, or choose to run it this way. A quote that sticks in my head from Mike Brown is (paraphrasing) "There are 4 options in the NFL as an owner- 1)make money and win, 2)make money and lose, 3)lose money and win, or 4)lose money and lose." Mikey B seems to take option #2 year after year. Option #1 is nearly impossible. Option #3 is what most sucessful teams do since the owner is rolling in money. Option #4 isn't really an option.

Been watching them my whole life, this team just looks like more of the same ol crap.

Man, this is So true and exactly why I cancelled my season tickets.. If anyone doesn't know the True Story of Mike Brown/Paul Brown then you need to find out. If you get this Story and Look At the Bengals Operation in whole then You will not be much of a fan and understand why they really are not that good. Option #2 is exactly how Mr brown looks at it. From a buisness Point it makes sense from a owners point ?Sucks for us....... Well lets just say he probably looses no sleep when they loose.

I'm a Bengals fan and I don't know what happen.... what two years ago we went to the playoffs...could have beat the super bowl champs ( but palms knee :( ) then we drop off the face of the earth ??????? WTF happened?????? we still have most of our offensive threats but we cant put up points any more????? I don't get it...

I liked marvin but I think it is time for him to step down as well...when we get a penalty on us or lose yards on a 4th and 1 attempt and all he does is clap and say well get em next time (He actually did this this past game) its time for a new coach.....as a head coach you need to lite a fire under your players a$$ some times and get them going when thing are going wrong.....and Ive always hated the play calling from the Bengals....again 4th and 1 and we decide to run it right up the middle on the best run defense in the NFL....you cant explain the reasoning for sh$t like that....my 9 year old brother calls better plays when he plays madden 08 on play station....give me a break

again if marvin was a great coach he should step in and let his office coordinator know hey lets do something different the same sh%t you have been calling ISNT working...but he doesn't so I say lets chuck em

I'm still watching them every Sunday though...just to sit and yell at the T.V. lol :)

He was brought in and touted as a "tough" nose to the grindstone kinda guy with a genius defensive mind......uhhhh....at what point did our defense look anything but silly? For some reason the "quick strike" ofense has been absent the last two years but the "rep" still remains, I personally dont think anyone fears our offense in the least bit. Fact is the defense has faired better than the offense of late. On 4th down plays it really looks as if the defense knows the play. They blow up the line right at the point of attack and the running back has to sidestep a tackler when he gets handed the ball. His first step is to try and jump over the freaking pile of bodies directly in front of him.

No band wagon here, Steeler fan since early 70's.
I'm not talking about blocking. I'm speaking of playing the game in general. The man plays every down hard. He gives everything he has on the field as do the rest of the team. You do not see that in Cincy.
