I have a complete 5.0 shortblock that I took out of my car because I thought it burnt a piston. After pulling it apart I found that the shortblock looks pretty decent and the pistons might be ok. I would reccomend taking it apart and inspecting everything before trying to run it as is. Here is a list of what it has

Stock shortblock 140k miles when I put it in my 86 I put about 200 or less on it

Like new oilpan factory ford

Timing chain cover(No fuel pump hole)

new less than 500 miles double roller timing chain set. I think its PBR brand 7 way adjustable

Ford motorsports F cam shaft

New less than 200 miles ARP head studs

New waterpump

Balancer is in decent shape
225 for everything with cam
