Can you listen to this clip and tell me if this is what a nornal solid lifter set up sounds like? It seems to be a little on the noisy side to me...

Does seem to be a bit loud..but that maybe from having the camera damm near touching the valve cover.
Trust me, you can hear that noise standing outside of the garage. Also, I forgot to mention...they are NOT solid lifters!

OH..I thought that sounded like your voice on the video. Ya..that's not good. Don't think my SR lifters are anywhere near that loud.

Pull the valve cover, sounds like the rocker is hitting it somewhere, you'll see the mark, just grind out that spot and rinse all the debris out really well. I've had my share of noisy rockers and that doesn't sound like the traditional " it needs tightened up a bit" kind of thing.

Dang rich I thought you had that thing figured out? As Rick mentioned earlier it could be a rocker hitting the valve cover. Pull that breather for a second and make sure its not hitting that either.
This is an old video, these are the lifters I just took out. I'm having a debate with the company I got them from, they are saying that the noise is normal.
For what's it worth...a set of stock lifters totally made the sound disappear.

I thought one of my lifters was making a bit much noise, turned out to be a header gasket!;)
