331 Crank

what happens when you put a 331 crank on stock rods and pistons? A buddy of mine bought a brand new motor and wanted to throw a 331 crank he had laying on the shop floor into.

331 has a 5.4" rod length, I think the 302 is a 5.090. Think really low compression...lol
I believe you need the longer rod and a short piston for the combo to work. Don't take this as gospel, just playing it out in my head.
