Salvage title

Anyone have any idea how, in Kentucky, to get a new title for a car with a salvaged title? My g/f's car was totalled by the insurance company, but the damage is minimal. Can I just fix the headlight, turn signal and windshield and get a new title? Other damage is just a ripple in the hood, fender, and both bumper covers. I don't really care what it looks like, so I don't wanna bother with anything cosmetic.

Yeah, my Mustang is a salvage title/rebuilt title. You have to apply for one from Frankfort, the car will have to be re-inspected. It takes about 6 weeks if you go the slow way, and about 2 if you pay to speed it up. I will have better info tomorrow.

Also I dont know if you have talked to the insurace but settle with them for a clean title. Just tell them you will take the deal but they must give it a clean title.
