My friend just bought a '92 5.0 5-speed, and when he turns the key over, the fuel pump doesn't stop priming? what is the issue there?

Your fuel pump relay (under the driver's front seat) is probably stuck on...smack it a few times or replace it.

I just had the same exsact problem, i posted it on here, if your trying to do it with just a battery charger dont, just use a battery, also on mine it wasnt the relay under the seat it was the relay above the computer.
Search for my post there is a diagram and list to run threw

The computer controls the priming function internally by momemtarily grounding the relay at first applied voltage. Then it waits for a RPM signal from the distributor to ground the relay for "run". I know a few cars that have this problem, but it's not really worth fixing to me. Who has thier key on without the car running ever? Thats what the ACCY position is for. Just my 2 cents.
