So Friday down at E20 they have some sort of gamblers race going on. I went down to the staging lanes to make a pass and was told by one of the track officials I needed to get into another lane. So I backed up and went into the next lane. Well some numb nut named Ralph that was in front of me decided he wanted to back up for some apparent reason and did so only after not looking over both shoulders to see that I was now behind him. And shablam he backed right into my car. Busted out the drivers side parking light and tore up the paint on my bumper and grill. So I get out of the car and he gets out and says man I looked and I didn't see you back there. I said to him my ass you looked. Mother f@cker you looked over one shoulder which was your left shoulder at that with a damn helmet on. Try looking over both next time and take your damn helmet off. He says man I'm sorry but what do you want me to do about it. I said I dont know but you're going to do something. So by that time Dave (95turbocharged was down there with me shooting video of it) The guy says I'll give 200.00 for the damage. At first I was ready to tell him to go get f@CKED but I told him that was fine. My bumper was already damaged from where I smacked a dog awhile ago so it needed to be repainted anyways. The parking light he busted I have a replacement for. So his money will now go for material to repaint the bumper for his side he damaged and the other side the dog smacked. I say drunks at the track 'cause later on I see him drinking and getting back into the car and was told as well by several others that he is always down there drinking and racing. What a loser!!!!!!!!!

Yeah it never seems to amaze me. Apparently this guy does this shit all the time down there. But yet I get shut down Friday night for not haveing a fire jacket and running 11.30's. I will admit I did make 2 more passes after the fact and I was told one final time I was done but it was the end of the night anyways. But who's more at risk here me with no fire jacket running 11.30's @120MPH or that jackoff drinking and running the same times I was? Ohh well what do you do

I think there was someone else on here that had a similar incident a while back and didn't get a dime.

Yeah I recall reading that. I think that was someone had a run in with Danny's Rod Shop out of Milford.

Dude, that sucks. You should have reported his ass to a track official to put a stop to it. I heard about the incident with the guy from Danny's a while back too. Both suck.
At this rate the Edge is going to turn into Tristate before too long.

I've seen people drinking in the staging lanes at Norwalk Raceway and they really dont do much about it. If someone points it out to them they will correct it otherwise they just turn the other way. If a racer is even seen with a beer in hand they shouldnt allow them to race. Its all about money and you sign a waver that makes them not responsible for you or your property so they could care less.

Very much bullshit! I woulda had a hard time not knocking that drunk fuck's block off if that was my car!!!
Atleast from the picture you sent me the damage appears light. But it's still the simple fact that this fuckstick shouldn't be allowed on the track... Don't they inspect coolers anymore????

Steve starve the boys' girlfriend for a couple of days. Take her to the track. When something like that happens tie a Twinkie to his neck. That will fix that fella. j/k Sorry to hear that, hopefully that moron never hurts an innocent family going down the road. Holler if you need a hand.

I'm gonna catch hell for this.....but I did it........
What about after working all day, 9 hour shift, then busting ass to get to the track, then swapping slicks onto the car, enjoying ONE 12 oz beer while working on the car in the pits to get ready to run. I know I did it during T&T......if anything it calmed me down from the stress of the day, like having a cigarette (I don't smoke!)........but drinking in the staging lanes?????
I've seen drivers at Edgewater get a cup of ice thru the food line, fill it with beer in the pits, no one every guesses with the straw!
i do know that at the track that i usually attend to, they don't allow anyone to drink in the staging lanes (which is good) and can kick someone out permanently.
on of the last times i was there.. (i didn't see it but i wasn't far from when it happened) a guy that had been drinking got on a motorcycle and did a wheelie in the staging lanes and lost control and laid it down. the bike went towards a young girl in a JR dragster and thankfully she didn't get hurt or hit. (she was strapped in and couldn't move to get out of the way)
its things like that that make me mad at the stupidity in people

I know I got my ASS chewed out at Edgewater by the redhaired lady (now turning silver) now working the gate for doing a 1st gear ripper driving up the stagng lanes.
Bikes and beers = NEVER a good thing!

DSS 306 , Trick Flow street heat intake, GT40 Y302 heads, 75MM TB , Lightning MAF, 24# injectors, Anderson Power Pipe, BBK full length headers 2 1/2 flowmaster exhaust, Strange adjustable front and rear struts, Lakewood lift bars, Steeda Uppers, 3.73's
I was reading your cars info, I just have to know why you would want all that weight up front? I mean come on really? 24 pound injectors x 8 = 192 lbs and that = no wheelies not to mention a couple tenths in 1/4 :lol:I would suggest a Carb they weigh less than 10lbs....Also, I would recommend you Be careful not to mix in some heavy metal music on the radio at the same time it will kill your 60 ft times.....:D
