Can you put Cobra front brakes on a fox without any problems? If you have the whole setup....spindles and all. Will it work and have the right width overall?

Yes it will work, But you will have to run a 17" wheel or a xp series wheels. Due to the 13" rotors.

It was a long time ago I did this on another car and it worked just fine but I think there was an adapter fitting to go from the brake hose to the hard line.

If my progress thread on my hatch is still around, and the pics are still working, that thread should help. I'm currently running that setup. As far as the width goes, it depends on what spindles you use.

94-95 spindles are different from 96+ spindles. It really doesn't matter that much since the 96+ spindles are only an additional 8mm wider per side compared to the 94-95's, but I went ahead and got the 94-95's on mine, since there is so little room to work with up front on foxes. It really depends on what wheels you'll be running. I plan on running some 17x8's up front with somewhere between +22 - +26 offset.

Mmmmmmmm:

I'm getting ready to do this same thing on my vert. I have 94 cobra brakes and a set of 94/95 spindles waiting. I think I am going with the polished 18" saleens on it. The cobra wheels are 8" aren't they? Should fit nicely I would think.

Your spindles off your Cobra will be fine then with those wheels. In fact, I'd prefer the 96+ spindles with those wheels because it will make the wheels more flush with the fenders.
