hey rick can u switch from e 85 and regular gas. i would be scared that e 85 might not take off like they think. can u run more compression and timing on e 85. excuse my ignorance, i cant afford a new vehicle that runs that fuel. lol

There wouldn't really be a benefit for your combo Kevin. The nice thing about E85 is its cost/octane. It's so much cheaper than race gas and is around 105 octane. N/A you'd never need that kind of octane. From what I've been reading it burns really clean too when looking at the turbine side of the turbo. It's also better for our environment..lol

We ran E85 in my brothers Cobra and also have it in a buddys LS1 trans am and both of themgo about 100-125 miles to a tank so make sure you have E85 close.

Well if you had a high compression NA engine you could use it but you would have to be at 12:1 or greater.

The cost of E-85 is higher than gasoline right now also.

Exactly, I think the point is that if you don't need the extra octane n/a then there's no sense.

Blower/turbo guys can always use the safety margin.

but a 15:1 street engine sure would sound cool. :D

I switch from E85 to gas and back again with my switch chip. It's easy to do. I rarely run gasoline in my car, it simply idles better and makes more power on E85. But then I am running boost and a stock block, so I need all the insurance I can get ;)

Stay away from the Marathon in Mariemnont, they were RAPING people on the price of E85.

Krogers used to be .50 cheaper a gallon for E85, but I think the spread is less now.

14:1 Honda Civic motor on E85 is my plan, just need to get a chassis for UMTR.

Can't wait, several places near my work carry this stuff! Closest one to home is Loveland though

Doesn't E85 run much cooler as well??
