computer question

Last week a computer guru buddy of mine was helping me fix my laptop, I won't name names, but apperantly he's "under pressure". Anyway, the scroll just to the right of the mouse pad was disabled. I know this may sound simple, but I can't figure out how to turn the thing back on. Any help would be appreciated.

It may be pertinent information to mention that you have been having trouble with the scroll on the mouse pad for awhile now, and that in no way shape or form did anyone under any type of pressure contribute to the disabling of such device.

Nope, my scroll had been working fine

Depending on the model of your laptop, there should be a control software down by the system time in the bottom right hand corner of your screen. If for some reason the control software for your touchpad has been removed/disabled then a lot of times the extra features(ie scroller) could be effectively disabled. Hope that helps!
