Are 94-95 T5 transmissions different than 87-93? I found a 95 locally that the guy says the transmission is bad. I have multiple 87-93 T5s I just wondered if they will swap out. Thanks for the help, Lee!!

yes they r differet but all you got to do is use a fox clutch fork ,fox bellhousing and and 1/2 inch driveshaft spacer to properly position driveshaft because the tranny sits 1/2 in forward now no big deal people do it all the time you can get the spacer from upr for around 50 bucks the reason for all this is a 94 95 input shaft is longer

Sorry that will not work!

The 94-95 trans is about an inch longer than fox's so you would have to use a 94 bellhousing and shorten your driveshaft or change the input shaft to a fox's. The 94 bellhousing also causes problems with headers.

What he said with the spacer is to put a fox in a 94-95

Thats what I want to do. A 93 t5z in a 95 GT. I may just have my local tranny guy rebuild the 95 for me. No issues then!!
