Figured I'd go ahead and start a thread for my car, as it is a project in process. I have had it just about 2 weeks now, and like it besides the fact that it eats gas..... Lots more power than my Acura.

Here are some stock pics of my car for starters-

What mods are you planning to do?

PONYGRL
12-22-2008, 10:17 AM
Then the 1st mod as of yesterday-

Roush off-road axle back exhaust....

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3238/3127464601_ae53edeb6a.jpg?v=0

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3224/3127464729_961d0e7fc3.jpg?v=0

Yesterday, Chris also bought me:

-K&N off road intake
-Roush matte black rear wing
-Roush matte black hood scoop
-CDC sequential tail lights
-Roush stripe kit w/black out panel

I also picked up some Roush pedals last week.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3114/3128293242_3a2da4d084.jpg?v=0

Chris got a sweet carbon fiber dash kit for his car too, intake manifold cover and sequential tail light kit. I think it looks badass so I'd like to get the same kit for my GT.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3212/3128293432_35e8b73d53.jpg?v=1229954069

Once all this is installed, I'll go from there. Speaking of which, does anyone on here do stripe kits or know who I should go to? I was told the ones I have are very tedius and that someone with EXPERIENCE must install. I have the stripes the whole length of the car on both sides, stripe up the hood that goes in front of and behind the scoop, as well as on the rear.

I am going to buy a new tuner or use Chris' hyperpac when he gets it back...since I could use one now.

What do ya think of my start so far?

Seems like a pretty good start. Do you have a clip so we can hear the new exhaust??

PONYGRL
12-22-2008, 10:31 AM
Nope but I'll get one tonight ;)

I took it for a test drive last night and it'll def take getting used to. Sounds like a freakin' racecar to me and gave me a headache... keep in mind I had driven an Acura RSX Type-S for 2 years straight...

The headache will go away :D

Heck, the only quiet car's i have now are the ones that don't have engines!

Yeah if you want to improve gas mileage and horsepower get yourself the SCT Tuner and have the guys at Cincy Speed tune it for you. Right now I am getting about 302 HP and 322 lbs./ft. of torque at the wheels after all the mods I did and I get about 22-24 MPG on the highway. Not too shabby for a V-8 lol.

Nice. Exhaust on any car really makes it a different animal. I've never heard the Roush mufflers though

hey ponygrl what radar detector are you using??

PONYGRL
01-05-2009, 10:23 AM
So in the midst of everything going on around Christmas time... we put my k&n intake on Saturday.... also programmed my car..... yesterday we did my sequantial tail lights... so everything is coming together.

I will try to take some pics and come up w/ a sound clip this week. The exhaust sounds a lot different than when I posted last... it gives me a lot less "headache" now but is still much louder/different than sounding stock.

hey ponygrl what radar detector are you using??

A crappy one, I cant think of what brand offhand, but it was my ex-BFs like 2.5 years ago..... he let me barrow it, and I kept it. I need to buy a good one eventually.... I just dont have the money right now...

A couple more recent pics... the rear louvers are not on my car right now though.

I also put in a hurst s/t shifter and put on my roush pedals... front bumper will be painted soon, my quarter window louvers put on, and rear roush fascia... and looking for an h-pipe. My matte black stripe kit will be on very soon and I'm tinting my tail lights...
