I know 351w heads will fit a 302 but can anyone tell me if the intakes will fit. I just purchased a new weiand stealth intake for my 302 and just curious if it'll fit on the 351 heads

Yep, Just use a normal 302 intake. We have done it on an injected car before.

302 intake fits 302 block
351 intake fits 351 block

302 heads and 351 heads are interchangable. It is allways a good idea to check piston to valve clearance.

You can even run 351c heads on 351w blocks with a few modifications

If the heads are interchangable then would it be ok to say that the intakes will then also.

Yes you can use 351W heads and still use any 302 intake with it (i'm actually running '69 351W heads and a Stealth intake right now). The shape of the heads are identical. You will however need the stepped washers to bolt the heads on because the 351 uses 1/2 inch bolts as opposed to the 3/8 on the 302. They're in the $50 neighborhood...Craig probably has'em in stock.

With some suspension work and slicks i'm hoping to be deep into the low 12s with my 351 heads :D

Yes!

Like Tim said, the intake depends on which block you're using (I know, it sounds funny, right). The 351 block is taller, than the 302, therefor the heads are spaced farther apart. ;)

I'm not sure what block it is i'm just hoping it's a w. I have to go pick it up from my brother in laws house in chicago in a few weeks. I may just rebuild he whole motor and drop it it.

If it is a 351W block you can not use a 302 intake with it. Well you can if you use intake adaptors http://www.pricemotorsport.com/Intake_Adapters/AP-01_and_AP-04/ap-01_and_ap-04.html . You would be beter off to use the proper intake in the first place and sell your other one.

If it is a 302 block you can use a 302 intake with it.

It's not worth the effort and costs to use a 302 intake on the 351. The 351 block/head combination has different flow characteristics than the 302 set-up. Using the 302 intake disrupts the flow and will hurt your power, especially on the low end. Do it right, go with a 351 intake set-up, maybe you can trade someone for it.

Ok you're confusing me now Blackpony. Do you actually know what the heads are? Or the whole engine? Please tell me, that you're not making a trip to Chicago just to pick up a stock 351w or a set of heads.

Yeah i should also note that my 351 heads are heavily ported and have larger valves in them...don't expect to run any better with untouched 351 heads than you do with E7s.

I have an edelbrock performer 4V intake for a 351.

I do not think you can use a 351 intake on a 302 they are different because of the different deck heights on the blocks. The 351 is also wider than a 302 and will not work on a 302
