I think I would make the switch if I can pick one of these up. They say with the kit and a donor car it can be done for 40k if you get a good deal on a wrecked C5 which I have found for 10k or so.

http://www.factoryfive.com/gtmhome.html More pics and Info here. Dont be surprised if you see everything I won for sale on here trying to come up with the cash to buy one of these

here is what i think would make it a little more expensive since not everthign you need comes from the vette.

Other Components/Parts

Porsche Transaxle Parts from 1990-1998 2-wheel drive 911 models

Porsche G50 or G50 variant transmission including clutch disk, pressure plate, throw-out bearing, inner CV joints and starter.

Right its 18k for the kit 10k for a wrecked C5 and 12k left for transaxle and transmission and paint.

I would rather have one of these with a turbo on it.

Wonder if they would do a supercharged 5.4 and a 6 speed version?

You put your drive train in it so if you want to put a new Gt500 drive train in it you could. I thought a 4.6 With a Sullivan intake and carb would be cool. You could hide the coil packs and it would look like a old school hemi motor.
