Understeer = hitting the wall with the front of the car

Oversteer = hitting the wall with the rear of the car

Horsepower = how fast you hit the wall

Torque = how much of the wall you take with you

I always liked "Oversteer scares the passengers. Understeer scares the driver".

And, the most important two rules for roadracing:

"If it snakes three times and you still haven't caught it, you might as well put your head down."

"Don't close your eyes for the crash. You'll miss the best part."

That very statement went through my mind last week when I tank slapped the Ranger off of a guard rail in the ice storm. I actually quoted it to the officer at the scene ~lol~
