i just bought a set of gears from mike at modular depot and i was wondering if anyone has any links or anything to help me out when i go to put these in. id like to do it this weekend. thanks, adam

Depending on the brand of gears ...its not just a drop out replace and put bac in scenario...there are things like pinion depth that should be checked ,backlash needs to be checked(both adjusted if need be..) ...If you've never done a set of gears at least find someone who has and knows what their doing to help you..if not the gear set is prob not gonna last long...Also you should have bought a master bearing install kit along with the gears. Contains everything you need incase you need them...

Thanks I'm already looking into the kit but I don't know anyone personally that's done a gear setso that is why I wanted step by step instructions or something as a guide. Thanks, Adam

Get a hold of Mike Bell(rscoupe) on here. He has done many of these gears before. Im sure he can hook you up.

i had my gears put in at modular depot and they did a fine job so if you would of had them put in there it wouldn't be a bad choice.

What did they charge you for the install.

What did they charge you for the install.

It was around 190 for the gears and I think 300 or so for labor, with the speedcal and all it came to around 600 bucks give or take a lil.
