79 mustang parts car

I am parting out a 1979 Mustang hatchback. The car is black with black interior. 4cyl automatic. Was a running car. Lady had it worked on and couldn't get it to start back up so she let it sit. Was wrecked in the front somewhat. There is some rust here and there. The strut towers are rusting out so hence the part out. Post up your needs. Tires are still very good 14" rubber. Can ship some items and do have paypal. I can also get any pics needed of specific parts.

What shape is the dash pad in? Think the sunroof will fit my 88 stang?

No idea on the sunroof. I will get some pics and a tape on them tonight. Dash pad isn't perfect. I will get some pics of it too.

How are the doors?? Especially the drivers side

Also interested in the battery tray and hold down if not broken, the washer fluid/coolant box, and the radiator hold downs.

The engine getting any compression? Wouldnt mind having it, or alteast some parts off of it... same parts as my Mustang II

Doors are a little rough but not to bad in my opinion. Especially for a daily/drag car. Mostly surface rust. Didn't see any holes. Skin starting to come off the bottom of the drivers.

Tray should still be there. Took the box out to clean it up some and still have the rad hold downs. Motor ran when parked but they never got it running again when they tried later on. Have not done a compression test or nothing.

Interior is now out of the car completely. Took it all out today. Some pieces have cracks here and there but for the most part everything was bolted up.

Is the tranny a C4 or C3 ? If its a C4 I would be interested in it . I need a back bellhousing for the 2300 .

Talked to Doug at KOI, he said you might be willing to parts with the Dash board, Just the plastic stuff. Has the Radio opening been modified?

you talking about the woodgrain stuff? The radio hole was opened up for a cd player. There are pics on the first page of some of the stuff.

If after awhile your unable to sell the interior parts as a complete units keep me in mind. I could use the rear speaker grills, rear shock access covers plates and interior clips that hold trim pieces to the roof above the doors. If you don't have any luck PM me, plus I'll keep an eye on this post. Thanks Jeff

Thats right. I'll let you know if anybody asks about the above things. Don't know about the wheels though. Could use some jackstands and take the wheels off :D

well all the interior panels are gone. door panels will be gone today. all chrome trim is gone. front and rear washer bottles gone. going to have the car for another month before its going bye bye.

yeah carpet was aftermarket and pretty hacked at that. I will get some good pics of the hood. I believe there is little if any rust on it.

I don't see any rust besides the small area near the latch. Hood is over at the building if you want to check it out next week sometime. Let me know if it looks good to you.

still got the car. some stuff still on it. if any metal is needed it can be cut up. rear seat mounts are gone, shifter and tunnel metal gone, rear bumper gone. Once I get the time to get the other good stuff off its going to the crusher.
