i can see that when they flip, but the way it was gliding along the snow, i would imagine the "barrels" are hollow so the buoyancy wouldnt be an issue, but the center of gravity would suck...

There are amphibious versions...

But they're pretty much boats with twin screw drives.

I'm pretty sure the Germans tinkered with a tank that worked off that drive but it never came to reality. It was designed to be amphibious as well.
