I've got a burned out ignition....gotta find time to change distributors and ignitions and if i can manage that, and if it doesn't rain, i should be there but we'll see. It'll be a rat's nest of wires under my hood if i do make it.

Caster/cambers are cheaper than $400... Get a couple used tires and get a $60 alignment... might have less than that in it..

Sorry to hear as well! I understand though. I've had this car 6 months and its never been up and running more than 1 week at a time before something else fails. So far i've had to tear the top end apart and replace all the gaskets, new t-stat, new water pump, new fan clutch, and a new alternator.
And she still leaks from the rear main, but a few drops of oil never hurt nobody!
Got the new pump and fan clutch on though, just have to refill the coolant and burp it. :D
Looks like its gonna rain though. :(

Tires were 101.96. it now has 285's in the back :D
it need other things as well as ball joints for a sn95 car. theres 40, caster camber plates. theres 125-150 and an aliment. theres another 60.
thats 250 there plus the 100 ive already spent and i only have 60 bucks left till pay day. which is the day after the cruise in
its looking like rain all weekend anyways :(

Well I got the car all up and running and cleaned up today but these Drag Radials aren't going to like any amount of rain on the roads. Unfortunately if its raining I won't be able to make it. Guess I'll just have to check the radar in the morning. Everyone say your good luck prayers before bed!

I found a split in one of my drag radials in the sidewall. I just want to take it easy. I will check radar in morning. Nite!

So with that said I probably won't be able to meet at 10:30 at Fillmores but might show up little later at Quaker, if I take 275E, isn't the Milford exit right after the Batavia exit? After I get off the exit then what, anybody?

I'm going outside and washing it. Maybe I head up a little later. My car is filthy. They are building houses next door and the minute I open my garage, ton's of dirt flies in. If I don't go... at least the car will be clean until I open the garage again.

 Personally I love watching the burnouts - but the management of QS&L was complaining. One of them said something to me as I was leaving the cruise-in. I told them I cannot control what people do once they pull out of the parking lot, and neither can they. Scott (Moontang) and I are on good terms with QS&L regarding our cruise-ins, and I would like to keep it that way if possible.
But like I said, we have no control over what people do once they pull out of the parking lot. I know how it is, it's hard to NOT do a burnout when you have a bunch of people watching to see what you are going to do! ;) I think they'll probably have more police next time we have a cruise-in there. Everybody is doing burnouts at their own risk!
Just FYI - I got a reckless op doing a burnout two months after I bought the coupe. Luckily I got it dropped, or it would have been 4 points on my license.

Respect is not the issue or who was filming. If you add a camera to a exit then thats were you have issues. Any one that is filming or picture takeing is looking for a show, not someone to idle away.

I left early so I didn't get to see anything concerning this. I will say this though, if you did a burnout than just say I did a burnout because I wanted too not (Chris Farley voice)"the guy was filming and he made me!" JMO.

Having a camera or not, it is about taking personal responsibility, and exercising self control. Anyone that has been around here for any length of time has probably read or heard of the past problems with doing burnouts at past events, and why participants have been expected not to do them.
Your logic would insinuate that because QS&L sells alcohol, they would have been "asking for it" if a brawl were to happen.
That's why so many things in this world are eff'd up, many don't want to take personal responsibility for the shit they do, and want to blame others, or inanimate objects.

I said nothing about alcohol.I am assume you ate and got something to drink while you were there. If someone is at the exit with a camera they are wanting a action shot and that little instagation is all it takes. I understand why some of these people dont what burnouts because i have seen some of the driveing skills at these advents.

I don't understand the logic behind saying that if there were cameras somewhere that a burnout or some other display was expected. There were people taking pics as I pulled into the cruise and I am pretty damn sure nobody was begging for a burnout then either.
The point we are trying to make here is that it is very hard to find a suitable location for a cruise in the size of what SBZ is capable of putting on, much less a location with a nice restaurant. Unfortunately having large groups of performance cars come together comes with a lot of negative views from a lot of people these days because of the street racing scene and immature Ricers doing stupid things. QS&L have been great hosts for us, taping off over half of their lot just for our Cruise In's. Having said that, we need to fly under the radar as much as possible so that we don't piss the wrong people off and aren't welcome to have our cruises at QS&L anymore because it will be a bitch to find another location that is as nice and accommodating.

I realize you said nothing of alcohol, I just used it as a different example of the logic you posted.

Later in the day I heard (and saw) one of the people in Orange shirts (I assume worked for QS&L?) were encouraging burnouts as people left. I did not and cannot confirm this, but I did hear it. The person in question may have been acting on their own accord, and when I left no one told me it was OK, (thus no burnout from my Mach.)
Better to be safe than sorry, though. It would be different if the group was told prior to (or during) the event if it was OK, but that is a pretty busy street and I am not so sure it would be OK regardless . . . unless there was a cop watching over the burnouts and stating to everyone they were OK.

If any of you have ever been to any of real shows as in pigeion forge, woodward dream cruise , streetmachine nats or so on,all it takes is for some one to empty a cooler on the street and thats all it takes to get burnouts started.I cant beleive how hard these is for some to understand.I realize if someone lacks driveing skills or horsepower they are better off staying in the parking lot. I also saw no burnouts in the parking lot while i was there. The street is a public road so if someone feels the need pull your skirt up and let it eat.

A real show?
Sunday was NOT a show. Your well on your way to pissing a lot of people off.:lol:
I remember the annual Mopar Nationals in Columbus. They used to take over Brice Road, and do burnout, after burnout for years until it got way out of hand and too many "close calls" with people lining the street. The cops were forced to stop looking the other way, and they shut it down.

Its not meant to get anyone mad, but sunday was a local small event compared to those events.Woodward gets around 30,000 cars and a million people for a one day event. Maybe some people should venture out to some real shows and see how it works.

This is far from a show. This is a group of friends getting together to park there cars and grab some grub and a beer.
We know its in the street, but its also up to the manager at QS&L if he dont want us back or not.Why even risk it.Like I said, the cool blinged out honda toilet bowls over at Walmart would probly love to see a smoke show.

No,where there is recklessness and the general need for not caring you will have this happen. Why are you argueing this.It has been said,NOT to do burnouts, whether its on the street in the parking lot,DONT DO IT around the cruise sites. All it takes is for one shitty customer to complain and the SBZ crew is 86'ed from the parking lot.All thanks to some one burnin them off.

I dunno, I just have this problem with my car a lot of times. When I use the skinny pedal on the right, the rear tires rotate faster than the front ones, and smoke comes from the back. I get lots of rear tire wear too. ???? I'll get it fixed for the fall cruise in.

I didn't make the show.....but I can't believe this is conversation is still going.
How hard is it to understand that burnouts might and often can piss of the management of the place that was nice enough to let you hang out there. I appreciate the effort that people put into finding spots for us car guys to hang out....lets respect their simple requests.
And honestly, if your car doesn't accelerate on the street without burning out, check out Maximum Motorsports and learn how to let out the clutch. Personally I like when my car actually moves when I press the gas pedal.

The only point I was trying to make is don't blame it on the cameraman. Man up and except responsibility. In other words "I did a burnout because I effing wanted too".

who said i even did a burnout.if i wanted to i would of used the line loc right in front of the outdoor bar. i was just making a point about camera's and a little instagation at a exit. by the why about having traction problems is not a problem as i drive on et streets. half of these people bitchin would not know horsepower if it hit em in the face.

so for the person who had the camera, wheres the video!?
it was a friend of mine who took the videos. we were over by chris's lighting that had the t-bird on it checking his car out. taking a video of it idling and talking to him. he turned the cam on with intent to get a video of them all leaving ( not burning out ) everyone who did burn out did because they wanted to. there were plenty who left and didn't and just got on it a bit. everyone else who just drove off did that because they wanted to. now to blame it on the person holding the camera is like blaming a pencil for miss spelled words. camera guy wasn't the one dumping the clutch or pressing the gas.
it was the driver, not the camera guy burning out. now yes. having one there may of been a turn on to blow them off but plenty just drove off.
and yes. one of the guys working there was telling people "my boss told me to tell you guys no burning out, but your not going to get in trouble if you do"
thats exactly what he told me as i pulled out.
next time there wont be a camera out so this dont happen again.

for those who like to do burnouts every year at manchester, ohio theres a jack roush day, they have alot of nice cars there, you can get jacks autograph if u are a fan, plus theres a burnout competition as well,if u search on youtube i believe its manchester, ohio jack roush day u will see a couple of videos of a yellow chevelle...anyway all the burnout lovers should attend, and all the burnout participants should enter the competition and everyone else who is a tiresmoking hater should stay at the car show area and enjoy the nice mustangs etc...

Its not that we dont like burnouts. But when they boot us off the property because some one wants to act cool and do a burnout. Then its not so cool.Keep the burnouts for some where else,NOT WHERE WE HAVE THE CRUISE IN.whats so hard to grasp from that?

I am done with this... I agree what is so hard to understand with no burnouts at the cruise-in's, it is not rocket science!!! As far as Jack Roush Day goes the whole day is awesome, I go every year even took Vinny with me one year and lunch with Jack!
