Does anybody on here have the shaker 1000 in their stang? Right now I have the shaker 500 and am thinking about upgrading to the 1000 soon. Does it sound decent and a lot better than the 500?

I am debating going w/the 1000 or keeping the subs and amp I already have (had them in my old car- will just need a new enclosure), or trying to find something else aftermarket.

Thoughts?

In my opinion, the aftermarket has a lot better options you could go with.

What he said! This is what I'm looking at!
Head Unit:

and either a Q-Logic or comparable sub enclosure w/Kicker subs:

(Q-Logic)

Some Old school PPI or Hi-Fonics amps. Maybe Kenwood
Some Audio Control processors and probably Boston Pro speakers.
But my speed parts come first I'm happy with the Shaker 500 for now. Just might change up the speakers.

Looks nice! If I had unlimited finds I would consider that. I might try to sell what I have and just save up for something else when I can afford it.

I have the shaker 1000 in mine, and its pretty kick ass for a factory system. its got two 10" subs in the trunk and i believe an 8" sub in each door. i forget how many speakers there are. you could do way better if you go aftermarket for what the shaker 1000 costs as an option. when I got it in 2005 it was like a $1200 option.

Yeah well I have seen them on craigslist and ebay... I found one that was in a shelby gt350 and the owner pulled it all out, speakers and all, and replaced it with an aftermarket system. The 1000 is in mint condition and I think he wants like $500 for it and I have seen them for $400 before too, which isn't TOO too bad. Considering I could sell my Shaker 500 and get a hundred or two for it I think.
