View Full Version : Carb,Nitrous, 2 regulators Q's

O.K first I have a A1000 pump .-10 line to a 3 port bypass regulator(returned line to the tank).Installing my NX kit and needs 8 psi for the Fuel solenoid.Should I run a Y-block from the main line -10 before the bypass reg and use the bypass reg for the fuel solenoid(turn it to 8 psi) and then out of the other side of the Y block run non bypass reg to the carb(cheaper reg. @ 6 3/4) ?Thanks

no, you should just put a 408 in it and leave the nitrous and fuel wide open!!!!:flipoff::dummy::coo1:

I would not suggest ever using a bypass style regulator for the nitrous side of the fuel. My friends and I have had bad luck with them at first wide open throttle. The holley or quick fuel 19.99 specials from summit are the best in our book as well as Billy Glidden just check out his setup sometime 4.20's in the 1/8 with $20.00 regulators.

Thanks..Funny thing is I called Nx twice and got 2 different answers :rolleyes: ..One told me to dead head with a small reg. like you stated and the other said that a bypass reg to the fuel noid would have less of a lean spike(no pressure drop) when the solenoid opened vs a dead head reg. which he said would drop a pound or more on the opening of the noid momentarly (lean spike)...Thanks for your reply..

Thanks..Yep, exactly the way I doin it.Already bought the holley 803 "inexpensive reg"..and abunch of nessary fittings and in the process of gettin togehter....Thanks again..

My system has a dead head holley regulator with blue pump and its own fuel cell. It has a air bleed at the regulator to keep it from going lean at the go
