IMO might want to email the guy and tell him to fix this part unless he is donating This 1987 Ford Mustang won on Pinks episode #1 from 2008 Season #5.
This Mustang was a group effort put together by Greater Cincinnati's local mustang club Stangbangerz.com. The car was built in tribute to the sites Founder Vinny Changet who passed away February 7th 2007 of a sudden heart attack at the age of 37. Vinny left behind a wife and daughter. The procedes from the car will be going to the family he left behind.

I have a feeling it was copied and pasted from the previous auction...

Kinda sad seeing that car all over the net. It's a bit of racing history IMO. Sucks that he pealed off all the stickers too.
I agree with the money goes to the family comment...if this guy is using that as a sales pitch then he needs kicked in the nuts unless he's really giving the money to Holly.

I atleast hope he peeled the stickers off the correct way and not with a blade or something!

I emailed him yesterday about the car and told him that that was nice of him donating the money to the family like it says in the ad. Here was his response:
Hi,The procedes from the car did go to the family he left behind.when I got it 6 months ago
I don't think he gets it that he is stating that Holly will get the proceeds form the sale this time also.
Someone else needs to try and make him understand. I gave it a shot but he isn't getting it.

I just sent this to him.......
I saw in your ad that the proceeds from this auction will be going to the family. That is very generous of you! I hope you get top dollar for it so the family can take care of some bills.
You are a wonderful person!!
We will see what happens.;)

Yep it is. I don't know how we would go about getting eBay to do anything but remove the auction or make him change it. I don't know if there is anything else they could do. If he does say in your e-mail that Holly and Amanda are getting the proceeds...we need to contact eBay immediately to tell them. That way we can let them know that he is saying it and we think it may be a scam because Holly doesn't know about it.(Holly, you have not been contacted by him offering you the proceeds from the sale of the car this time have you?)

maybe I am reading it differently then everyone else but to me he is stating when he bought the profits went to them, not the profits of this sale.
I purchased this race car on ebay 6 months from the stangbangerz.com guys in Ohio.who built this car with donated parts and time. It won on the Pinks show (first episode 2008.) The car was built for the show in dedication of the former owner of Stangbangerz.com who died of a heart attack in his 30's last year. Vinny, the former owner of the site, left behind a daughter and a wife. The money made from the sale of this car WAS donated to them. I got the car it has been in my garage wasting time.this car is crazzzy fast and yes its a race car that won on the Pinks show. Its time for me to put the cash in the stock market,so its time to sale her.please dont waste my time if you dont have the $$$$. You can see a lot of movies of this car all over the net(utube).I removed some of the stickers. I will be away until the 22nd so email me if you want thrue ebay.I'm not in a rush to sell, make an offer
nowhere that I can find does he state he will be donating the money. The word WAS seems to make it past tense and not referring to the current sale.

I stand corrected missed that section. Kind of seems like he just copied that from the last auction. Either way it needs to be change, unless he does plan on giving them the money.

Seems like someone should just warn him that the way its listed is fraud and advise him that its been brought to everyone's attention. He'll fix it.

It may be an innocent mistake but I figure when a few of us have asked and he does not change it...he is trying to trick people wanting to help out Vinny's family which of course would drive the price up. That stuff's not right!
I also asked him bottom dollar what he wanted for it and he said 13,900.

It would just be LOW RENT if he used "to help the family" to get more bids and then NOT give anything to Holly or Amanda.

in my opinion it was obviously a mistake you can tell where the whole listing was just copied and pasted he didnt even realize it said and once somebody actually told him what it said he changed it seemed to me like everyone was trying to play games with him and not actually let him know he had messed up he wasnt being low or dirty

I agree that mistakes do happen and I am glad that is what it was...but we as a "family" are very protective of our own which explains the initial reaction.

Mistakes happen yeah....sometimes you leave a case of pop on the bottom of your grocery cart and accidently steal it. Mistakes like that happen.
When you're selling a car for as much as this guy is selling this one for, you don't just copy and past the description from another sale. Take the time to write up your own info. I don't think that's too much to ask or that it's ragging on the guy. This is a tight nit group and we take care of our friends :D

I think he was just trying to describe how he ended up with the car. I talked to him on the phone a few days ago and he said he wasnt trying to mislead anyone he was just trying to describe how he ended up with the car. He is a really nice guy and I dont think he is out to screw anyone.
Also what he is selling it for is what he has in it after having the car shipped to his house in NY.

I don't think the transmission is fixed in it yet. As soon as it is, we'll be putting it on Ebay. I know Kelly is ready to get rid of it.
