Why the hell can't I store a car in my own driveway that I own and pay muther fucking taxes ON!!!?? The car is old and doesn't run (right now) but it's not falling apart. I am working on it bit by bit, but if it's not out of plain sight I have to do something about it. Obviously if I had the money I could store it, or build a garage, and if I was fucking rich I could do what ever the hell I wanted! Muther fuckers drive bigger looking pieces of shit on a daily basis, but some ass hole doesn't like the looks of my classic...well FUCK YOU THEN!!!!!!!!!!:dummy:

Sorry I had to vent before I broke something.

Put tags on it, you may need to insure it, if you put tags on it though.

According to the letter tags alone won't cut it. I don't know if they check back to actually see it run/drive, but to do that I need a clutch and pressure plate. See wanted ads. I'm not ready to cut loose but I've been trying to get it all together. Looks like I'll be putting in the stock long block. We'll see how it plays out I guess. It's just badgering bull shit. Hell the forclosed house up the street is doing more damage to property value than my car! It's a wreck; bashed in garage door and all. Hell my car is easily removed, and I think still damn good looking.

Put tags on it and park it on the street for a couple of days, then push it into the driveway for a few days, just move it around from time to time and you should be fine.

What law did they say you broke, or do you live in a homeowners association?

I'm going to guess you live in Erlanger, or some jurisdiction such as that. They busted my friends bawls about his MKIV Supra sitting in the driveway for like a month this winter (cause there was a project car in the garage.) Said it was "un-sightly" and if it doesn't run, they could impound it or something of that nature, he went out there and started it and they shut the fuck up, very quickly.

Buy a cover for it then :flipoff: them. Tell them that if they come on "YOUR" property they can can talk to your lawyer! Amelia gave me a letter cause, get this, the right rear tire was sitting in the grass off my paved driveway. I informed them that there is indeed gravel there and once the weather breaks my driveway will be two cars wide!. They left me the f*&k alone. But they did pull a asshat move and put a speed limit sign right in the middle of my front yard. No wonder people want to dissolve the village. :flipoff::flipoff::flipoff::dummy::dummy:

Ft Wright got me for having a few junk/parts cars. They gave me a month to remove them or face up to 500 dollars in fines per day. Needless to say, I spent alot of time stripping them to send them to the junk heap.toss liability ins and tags on it and tell them to fuck off.

I forgot to mention that it's a dead end street. with only 9 houses on it. not even two lanes wide.

I live in Taylor Mill. The avatar is a picture of my car in the driveway. I even pay the damn taxes on the car every stinking year! As for the law, I'll have to wait till I get home and look it up. Hell there's something in there about not having more cars than number of drivers per household, or something like that. I'll post it all up once I get home, you all will get a kick out of it. To think these idiots get paid to think up this shit.

My best friend got killed nearly 2 years ago and the cars went into probate. The city knew the cars and still some dumbass still would ticket the cars every month.

If I felt like they were fucking with me, I'd paint over it every few evenings till it finally went away. They'll get tired of replacing it and move it somewhere else.

I thought Ky just recently passed a law that a city can't make you get rid of a car anymore but it has to be out of plain sight.

Years ago Taylor Mill made a guy remove a few 60's Mustangs from his fenced in back yard and you wouldn't even know they were there because they were hidden. He wound up selling them all for scrap.

Ok here's the thick and thin of it. Taylor Mill 9.22. No motor vehicle which is inoperable shall be stored on any lot in any zone or parcel of ground unless it is in a completely enclosed building. Parking shall be limited to the number of operable vehicles regularly used by members of a resident family and guests. Compliance with these regulations is essential to maintaining property values and quality of life (BS). Any vehicles which are inoperable or are unlicensed must be stored within an enclosed structure. Please either obtain valid licenses for all vehicles, or store unlicensed vehicles in an enclosed structure with in two weeks of the date of this notice.

According to Sema Action Network, SAN, the kentucky state law states that you do not have to remove your car if it is out of plain sight from the roadway. This can be done with a fence, natural growth, or anything else made to block view of the problem vehicle.

So I can either put up one of those fabric garages, put up a fence type thing, or put a license on it. Either way it all equals BULL SHIT!! What ever I do I'm going to find a way to write it off my taxes and tell them to stick it up their asses! Since this is not an elective expense for me I'm sure I'll find something.

If it rolls it is operatable. Tell them that. If you rolled it out of your driveway and hit another car, you would get a moving violation ticket. Throw that at them.

In highschool we had one in the parking lot that read 15 mph. I just went out there one night and added another 1 with a stencil and some black paint. Damn that was fun.

Borrow someone's enclosed trailer till racing season starts. Then tell them to go stick it, it is in an enclosed area!!! Then listen to the neighbors complain. Of course, I have a neighbor in Burlington that has, go figure, a 69 stang in his driveway. Has not moved in over a year, engine is in the garage, tore apart, sitting on flats!!! Such a waste of a great car, makes me sick everytime I walk the dog:dummy:

The letter clearly states "Please either obtain valid licenses for all vehicles, or store unlicensed vehicles in an enclosed structure."

If I wanted to be the giant ass I'd like to be I'd put up a couple poles, put up a tarp barrier between them, and write "Mind your own FUCKING buisness assholes!!" The wife wouldn't like that too much.

Does Ky. offer historical plates? In Oh. you by the historical plates once and they are good til you sell the car. No renewal needed.

The problem comes from the low lifes that just park a car and let it sit. We have a property maintenance code and an Officer that does the enforcement. He doesn't go looking for problems but rather, somebody has to fill out a form for it. If the compliantant doesn't want him name on the form, it doesn't get filed.

The PMO has had vehicles removed before, they were basically junk vehicles that sat in the back of a property, behind the trailer where a drug dealer lived. Tagging and insuring the vehicle usually gets rid of the problem.

Grab one of these:  I need to vent again.

Why would I insure it at this point? I have a one car garage (occupied), and the car is in the driveway not in the back yard. The laws need to be taylored to be specific in their execution to target the loosers that park cars in the yard to leave them rot! I could care less about what my neighbors park in the driveway. It's not a nuisance in the driveway. The claim that it lowers property values holds as much water as a fucking strainer! Permanant structure damage and trees growing through cars is a problem not a car in the driveway. I wish the fucking bullshit anonymous tips would get discarded in my town. Anyone w/o the backbone to give their name for a claim should get dismissed. If I have a problem with someone in my neighborhood I'll be damn sure to sign my name to it. The petty bullshit people get their panties all twisted up over kills me. They should be so lucky that I've done all the needed maintenance to my house and made the upgrades needed so their true property values hasn't degraded. I apologize if my FUCKING house has wasted $10,000 of mine leaving my car to sit awhile longer in the GOD DAMN driveway.

Dude, just get some fucking tags for it. I can see that it sucks that they're fucking with you, but its the cheapest fix for the problem. I wouldn't insure it either, its not going anywhere.

I would agree, some J.A. probably called them on you. Where I live in OH they have to be currently tagged and moved every 48 hrs...even if it just an inch. If it is what they consider a "junk" motor vehicle it must be covered with a car cover.
