someone gained access to my Ebay account, listed a Supra for sale, asking $6000 and noted to the buyers not to use ebay buy it now but to email him directly........

Lucky I got the email notice when it was posted and Ebay got everything taken care of in about an hour using their live chat.

Now to change all my passwords after I scan for any keyloggers on both computers.

bone....

if your virus software didnt find a trojan when it was executed....it wont find one by 'scanning'.

Change your ebay password, and if you are paranoid the only sure way to get rid of something like that is to format and re install.

did change my ebay password along with everything else money related.

Been a hassle.....

AVG Free will normally find it, all my "shareware" programs that have keygen's gives it fits, and no I haven't downloaded and shareware lately. Been quite sometime since I've used Demonoid.

what am I gonna be downloading??????

Malbytes found nothing. Seems a few others on a certain forum are having the same issue. Would a new forum owner be able to see each users password????? If they could would the be able to log onto a person Ebay account and try the same password?????

Would I be stupid enough to have the same basic password for most logins????

I is stupid.

8 character password, letter, number, number, letter, number, letter, letter, letter.....was rated strong.

Paul, your an ass at times, but so am I, glad your around.

One forum had 20-25 accounts that were linked to ebay hacked, makes you wonder.

It is possible, depending on what database they are using and if they have encryption enabled.

Most people are the same way. I yell at my wife all the time for having the same password for everything.

It may not be the Site Admin doing it, but it is their problem to fix. It is possible someone went through a back door, gained admin rights and viewed things they weren't supposed to...

I have the same password for my accounts that don't matter. By "don't matter" I mean to forums etc that have no financial info attached to them etc.

Otherwise I always use strong passwords.

Incidently, of my 3000 or so Yahoo accounts, 10 or so myspace accounts, email accounts, my own websites, etc. I've never been hacked.

On one of my sites, I even posted hack attempts. I've never even been DOS'd.

As long as you take reasonable security measures and don't click on every damn thing you get a chance to, you should be okay for the most part.

I was reasonable, but a new site admin who had just purchased it, gained access to my accounts, noticed a few pics were added and removed to my photobucket account.

I contacted eBay again this afternoon, they did confirm the third party was based in Canada and didn't do a very good job hiding behind a proxy. He has been banning people from the website, those that got banned are the same people having hacked account issues.

My password was strong, but now it is even stronger, I'm changing EVERY password. I will have a money related password system, then a generic password for forums.

I just got a "forgot your password" email thing from dominos.com

Looks like someone is trying to get into my pizza account to order me pizzas. Anyone else?

Rick Perry, his new alias even reported us to the FBI, yet he is the hacker/scammer

You must have said something, or caused a big flap on whatever board for someone to do that. Getting banned, having your password stolen, then reporting you to the feds. Sounds like vengeance to me. No attempt to purchase anything right? Appears like he was just fucking with you. Moving pix around on photobucket and shit like that to put you through the wringer, and inconvenience you.

Ok 'Bone...off with it...what mess did you stir up?
You pissed someone off.;)

the new site......with the old members......

I know I'm IP banned, but when I'm at the track, I'd be on a different IP address, so I'm gonna get tonight.

RHMT will be mounting an attack soon, they are just digging up dirt......from the hole we plan on burying him in.
