View Full Version : 3" studs work with Pony wheels and cover?

Anyone know if 3" long wheel studs will still allow you to run the stock center cover on a Pony wheel or are they too long?

I think they just clear.

they cleared my 10 holes with cover so you should be fine

You can always cut your studs down. Studs are actually allowed to be inside the nut. If you are running 1/2" studs, you are allowed to have a 1/2" recess. If using a 5/8" stud, you can Have a 5/8" recess. If I were going to trim them, I would cut them flush with the nut. That should take care of your problem.
