Simple question for do it your damn selfers

When changing a pinion seal do you have to install a new crush sleeve then reset the preload, or what. I've changed gears but never just the seal. I'm assuming new sleeve also but let me know if not fella's. thanks :confused:

I wouldn't change the crush sleeve. Just mark where the pinion nut is before you remove it and then put it back sneaking up on it. If you go too far you will have to replace the chrush sleeve so take your time.
