I have a 2000 GT 5 Speed. The next step in moding for me is a gear. I do drive the car alot and highway drive a few miles per hour over speed limit.:rolleyes:

I dont want my gas mileage killed, So I was wondering what everyone thought about putting a 3.73 in it?

Skip the 3.73 and get a 4.10. Don't fear the gear, especially with a mod motor.

just for reference, I have a 02 GT 5 speed with a 430 gear. At 70 mph I am taching 2500. I had a 373 and gas mileage is not much different. Go at least 410.

Average cost of labor is prob around $200-300. I have been checking around myself. Best bet is prob Cincy Speed.

410 for sure, I can set up a killer rear end, but Cincy may be closer for you, i'm in the Dayton Area, i just do it at the house for some side work.
